Friday, February 3rd at 1:45 PM at CWES, Multi-purpose room.
Mrs. Russell, long term sub for grade 3/ Mrs. Grantz, directed a fabulous play at the Town Hall this past Friday. While studying early pioneer life students learned about the trials and tribulations of the pioneers who ventured to the new territory. Mrs. Russell wanted to take their learning to new level by giving students each a part in a play and teaching them songs of the old pioneer life. "They were amazing!" Mrs. Russell said proudly. Because the students did such a fabulous job she decided to bring their talent to the stage. Children volunteered to stay after school and practice their lines in our newly formed drama club. Mrs. Russell commented that the students wanted to practice at recess and at lunch because they were so excited about the play.
Following the play, a parent commented, "these children did wonderful work. The whole class worked as a team and students were helping each other backstage." Mrs. Russell agrees that the students were fabulous and deserve all the praise they received. So, back by popular demand the students will be presenting the play a second time at CWES on 2/3 at 1:45pm. All are welcome to attend.
